Washington, DC – The Gallup polling agency released an analysis today of its polling data going back to 1975 and it found that younger Americans are currently more strongly pro-life than middle-aged Americans. The polling results give the pro-life movement hope that public opinion will continue moving in the pro-life direction.

Not really, it says that younger American are more likely to be strongly pro-life than middle aged Americans (23% of 18-29 believe “abortion should be illegal under all circumstances” compared with 17% of those 30-49).

However, that means that more than three in four (77%) of those under 29 are still (to some degree) “pro-choice” (or “pro-abortion” if you prefer that rhetoric).

It is an important distinction.
