ok, i went out on a limb, and went to the site your link takes us to. it has all the books of the bible listed, but it also mentions genesis 1, 2, and 22 specifically. what’s up with that?

i guess i’ll just start asking questions. is your verse in genesis?

i like you already. 🙂

(no, THAT wasn’t sarcasm. the earlier bits were. all of them. except for when i was explaining that i’m sarcastic. that wasn’t sarcasm. unless i’m being sarcastic NOW…)
.
Oh yeah—just keep it up Reedy… smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_15_3.gif

pnewton–What does it mean to “gig” as in" Gig 'em, Aggies! " is it like “go git” ?

it’s an aggie thing. the ‘gig em’ thing, i mean. it has something to do with frogs… 🙂

Q2 No

As far as the link, it was a joke since it links through a single click to every verse in the Bible. The only real hint was the “old-er” part. (as in testament)

The gig’em signature is a Texas A&M tradition. I wouldn’t be surprised if frogs are some how related, although in my parts, gigging is usually reserved to flounder.

so… it is in the OT, but not a prophet. is it in the pentateuch?

Oh I wanna play, eventhough I am not “Bible Smart”.

Is it in the Deuterocanonicals (“Apocrypha”)

Q5 - No

No right answers, yet, but I believe you have finally narrowed it down to a specific type of Old Testament book. When I was a kid I learned the OT books by sing a song. We called what you refer to as wisdom books the books of poetry. In any case, no to the whole category.

Not much of a hint, but I have this verse (in a certain form) hanging over my fireplace.

ok - so it’s from the OT, but it’s not genesis, exodus, leviticus, numbers, deuteronomy, psalms, proverbs, ecclesiastes, song of songs, or any of the prophets.

that narrows it down pretty well.

is it from ruth?

Q6 - No

There is a good verse in there, but I am not known as the romantic type.
