What is this case all about and why no news story.

As pointed out by someone else, when the is an identified person that is known to have caused injury to someone without any justice process being applied that tends to get more attention. In this case the people alleged to have commited a crime have been identified, arrested, and the judicial process is being applied.

There were 16,214 criminal homicides reported in 2018 (src). Most of which will never received national attention. Sadly, murder tends to be a regular occurrence in the USA and you’ll find that the reporting on most of them to largely be local.

And if you look further down, It started off high at the beginning of Clinton years but was significant reduction each year. Amazing.

Jacob Blake was shot and omitted to have a knife and there was one officer who shot Blake. The investigation is still ongoing. Blake’s mom has repeatedly called for the looting and violence to stop.

I’d still like to know why they killed her. She was friends with one of the suspects and allowed him into her car so why the killing.

Follow the case. If the alleged killers are in fact the people that killed her then the investigation or the testimony in the case might disclose that. But it is also possible that motivations may remain unknown, as they are not obligated to take the stand.
