Gay activists tell Disney to make Queen Elsa a lesbian

Why does every single Disney princess have to have a Prince Charming? What’s wrong with praising the love of family? Would it really be the end of the world for her to have a somewhat ambiguous relationship with a woman? Did you know historically in Catholic Europe large sections of the population were never either lay nor part of religious life? Did you know that the love of the friend was extolled and praised above marriage?

Not every Disney Princess needs to have a Prince Charming. There is nothing wrong with praising love of family. It would be very bad if Elsa had any type of relationship with a woman. That would mean that the socialists are indoctrinating the children. Socialism seeks to destroy the family. Karl Marx called for the abolition of the family. I did not know about large sections of the populations not being in lay or religious life. I did not know about the love of friend being praised above marriage. I am focused on the Marxist agenda today.

The safest option Disney can do is to not give Elsa a love interest. Her sexuality can remain a mystery (anyway, not all lesbians have girlfriends. There are some lesbians who are celibate and they are not sinning).

Also it would promote girl independence-a princess does not have to be in love with someone in order to be a princess, she can kick butt on her own (fairytales have this idea that every princess needs a prince).

IMO disney could please more groups with this (the religious won’t be angry at her being gay, the lgbt supporters won’t be angry at her being straight, since nobody knows her sexuality, and people who like the idea of a female protagonist not needing a love interest won’t be angry)

Gay activists are lobbying Disney to turn Queen Elsa, in the upcoming Frozen II movie, to be a lesbian.
Last week, the LGBT lobby and liberal Hollywood stood together demanding Disney create Queen Elsa’s character into a lesbian. In fact, they claim, based off of her character views in Frozen, she is already a lesbian and now only needs a girlfriend, according to citizengo.
Citizengo adds: Global media outlets with influence started publishing opinion articles, calling this message “universal… there are women who love women, and that we deserve love stories too.” This unified demand is for Disney to ‘improve its record on representing LGBT people.
Apparantely,GLAAD, a US gay lobby organization and hate-group against Christians, released a statement criticizing the 11 films released by Disney in 2015, “0 appearances of LGBT people” in these animated films.

I doubt this will ever happen. Mainstream audiences do not want to see Rom-Coms and love stories about gay people. That may sound cruel but it’s true. If my fiancee and I are going to the movies we’re probably going to want to see a comedy or a romance, but neither of us would be interested in seeing a gay rom-com.

Disney will also have to factor in that if they do this, there will be an awful lot of parents that don’t bring their kids to see it.

At the end of the day, Hollywood is about money and this won’t make money.

Actually, I’m talking of the Bible with Jonathan and David; Blessed John Newman and Ambrose St. John; the Saints Gregory and Basil; Aelred of Rievaulx with his book De spirituali amicitiâ (“Spiritual Friendship”); etc.

Yes, it would be good for them to be surrounded with friends though in practice people often wind up with a handful of very dear friends and being friendly with acquaintances with whom them have vary degrees of closeness.

Remember, we are talking about Disney movies. That’s a little bit like debating the health aspects of the artificial colors in cotton candy.

Seriously, though, if Disney ever made movies with such blatantly Christian themes as you are suggesting, you can be sure they’d hide it in a separate production company rather than stamping the Disney trademark on it. Their brand is everything, and unapologetic affiliation with Christianity would not fit their brand.

My understanding is that’s how DreamWorks Animation came to exist, because Disney would not agree to make what eventually became The Prince of Egypt.

Disney did, however, make The Hunchback of Notre Dame, which has blatantly Christian and Catholic themes. Of course, that was also 20 years ago…

The actress who plays Elsa, Idina Menzel, thinks it would be great if Elsa got a girlfriend. This is not surprising coming from her. She is a leftist who is also an activist for LGBT rights. She is a Russian-American who likely had relatives who fought for the Bolsheviks. The Russian Bolsheviks would have strongly supported giving Elsa a girlfriend.

Maybe you should fact-check before making these very odd statements that you seem to be prone to. First off, Menzel’s family is Jewish. Second, communist views of homosexuality are as varied as capalist views–Lenin decriminalized homosexuality, Stalin re-criminalized it.

Yes. I noticed it was among the few (for now) Disney movies available on Netflix. I don’t know how their new deal will go, but for now all the Disney offerings there are definitely not their cash cows.

I’m glad, at least for this part, that I don’t have daughters, because the “Princess” thing drives me nuts. Several of those films are very good, but the marketing tie-ins…gah!! (And how they change the looks of the girls so they are more vapid and silly).
