Link to BBC article about Gene Robinson’s critisism of Catholic Church

This is a very disturbing development to see this Bishop make such an aggressive verbal attack of the Catholic Church. I’m starting to think that he is cooperating with evil here.

*“The first openly gay Anglican bishop, Gene Robinson, has called for the Roman Catholic church’s attitude to homosexuals to be confronted.
The Bishop of New Hampshire said the Vatican’s ban on ordaining gay men was “vile”, in a speech in London.”…

…He continued: "I find it so vile that they think they are going to end the child abuse scandal by throwing out homosexuals from seminaries.

“It is an act of violence that needs to be confronted.”*

He’s a very aggressive guy, but ecumenical. Having led to disruption in the Anglican Church, he’s now reaching his black hand over to us.

For someone who thinks that Christ and Peter were gay lovers, who cares what this idiot says? He claims there’s “Catholics” joining the Episcopal church… I disagree, just protestants coming out of their shell and having the guts to admit it (if there really is a spike in conversions). If “Bishop” Gene looked at the statistics, 85% + of the cases were priests having sex with postpubescent boys (still REAL wrong), but that means it is homosexual activity causing the problem, not pedophilia. He should try and clean up the mess and divisions that he’s made in his own church before he attacks ours. Isn’t the ECUSA serving a suspension from the Anglican Communion?

But think of all those Anglicans/Episcopalians he’s “leading” back into the Catholic Church.

Let us pray for Gene Robinson and for those who feel as he does, that they may open their minds, hearts and souls to the truth as revealed to us in Christ Jesus, the Word of God.

The man is a heretic pure and simple. I would be concerned if he was pro-Catholic. We shouldn’t care if heretics like this man dislike the Church.

I thought the recent bishops meeting in Rome determined that homosexual men were fit for ordination as long as they had been celebate for the past X number of years.

Is this correct?

I read the article earlier today and yes … it is very disturbing. Not, only must he (Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson) put stress on the Anglican community and it’s members around the globe … he must now attack *the Church! *I have many Anglican and Episcopalian friends who are not happy with the rogue element in their church. They were absolutely floored when he was accepted by the Episcopal Church in the US. This incident is one of the main reasons why I determined the Anglican/Episcopal Church was not for me (but not the only reason). I am crossing the Tiber and Rome is where I will stay when I reach the other side. Also, it was very disgusting to hear Robinson claim that Ratzinger was the best thing that ever happened to the Anglican Church. As if millions of Catholics were converting in waves to the Anglican Church. Ha!

He calls Pope Benedict XVI “Pope Ratzinger”, obviously he’s just spiteful.

Let this “bishop” dash himself against the Rock like every other heretic and apostate throughout the history of the Church has done-he will fair no better.

I personally don’t think homosexuals should be allowed to serve as clergy in any Church. It’s a sinful lifestyle, and I couldn’t see anyone practicing it openly and proudly as being someone you would want to get spiritual advice or teaching from. We are all sinful, granted. But people who embrace their sin and do so proudly should not be religious leaders. This man knew the CC stand on this issue before he became a Bishop.

Basically unitl 2008 … also the Anglican Church of Canada has been disciplined because they approved of civil unions. If Gene thinks he can take the heat of himself by attacking the Catholic Church he is wrong. From what I know Gene and other Anglicans like him are the reason many Anglicans around the world are jumping ship and swimming across the Tiber to Rome. I believe I read a story somewhere about an honorable Anglican Bishop converting to Catholicism because of the gay Anglican bishop fiasco and rogue elements in the Anglican Church.

I know plenty of Anglicans who are not happy … I see it in their eyes if the Anglican church does not clean up it’s mess. They are gone!

The bible does warn that people would come in the last days preaching about a different gospel and a different Christ. As offensive as this is, we must see it as a sign that the Lord will be returning shortly and rejoice.

Those who have a natural homosexual orientation are called to be chaste, since same sex marriages are not permitted in the Church, that means homosexuals should be celibate or practice complete sexual abstinence. They should be spiritual eunuchs for Christ, not actual eunuchs because that is a sin also.

Natural homosexual tendancies? Sure, we are all born with a sin nature. But that doesn’t make the sin natural. Many gays are rehabilitated from the lifestyle. ‘Life on The Rock’ had a man on talking about this a while back.

Yes, I heard about that also … but the main thing we should first focus on is to get people to stop sinning by being gay or lesbian (sexually active homosexuals) … since homosexuality is viewed as being a severe mental disturbance (Catholics are not the only Christians or one of the world religions to say this) … then we should focus on possible rehabilitation. Being tempted is not sinful giving into temptation is what leads to hell. But if we were able to rehabilitate people to be heterosexual, still they are obligated to live a chaste life under the law and will of God. No sexual relations are allowed except with one’s spouse.
