Gay marriage? What next?

What are your thoughts? I personally think that it shows how far down our liberal society has fallen. 20 or 30 years ago it would have been unthinkable, but, now anything goes. What’s next?
 
I’ve given up predicting the future as a bad job.
I mean, there’s one sure way to find out “what’s next”.
And that’s to stick around and see.
 
The latest quest for Trans Rights, including the use of restrooms/locker rooms and enforced use of the correct pronouns, has really accelerated since the Supreme Court came down with its Gay Marriage decisions.
 
I think even people who used to support these things will wake up to the bully tactics and encroachments on our more fundamental rights for the sake of a tiny minority and there will be pushback. In fact, there already has been with the election of Donald Trump.
 
Polygamy is next. Honestly, I am surprised that it has not already been codified in law.

That and criminalizing signals of disapproval. Punishing those who openly disbelieve that the best and required treatment of gender dysphoria is accomodation of a false persona as the absolute truth about the patient. I expect that raising questions about that will come to be considered a violation of civil rights.

Not the sense you meant it perhaps but the next thing is we pray for our gay friends and neighbors to have the will and ability to remain chaste and kept safe from harm.
 
Scary to think about, but when I let myself think about it, I do believe that they will #1)slowly keep lowering the age of marriage to legally accommodate pedophiles and #2)they will marry and copulate with robots now that the Sophia robot has been granted citizenship in Saudi Arabia to pave the way
 
I actually don’t think things are any more in the moral toilet than they were a century or fifty years ago. Rather, sexually based sins (or at least those where all parties consent) are becoming more culturally permitted while others are being condemned. Deep breaths, pray they be given the grace of chastity. And if it’s any comfort the queer people I know are strong advocates against pedophilia and for a universal age of consent at 18.

It’s called consent by a legal adult.
 
Consenting adults can abuse alcohol and prescription medication. Consent doesn’t nullify harm.
 
I’d say the transgender phenomenon does more disservice to the gender equality movement because it reduces womanhood and manhood to superficial characteristics. It’s gone from “there’s more to womanhood than makeup and dresses” to “you can just slap on a dress and call yourself a lady.”
 
Truly. Go to the guys fighting for this country against Nazi Germany. There are still some around today.
Do you think they would have even thought that gay marriage was a possibility let alone that such a thing would be seen in their lifetimes?

Morality and legality should not be mixed. Legality should be based on harm of innocent or unwilling participants.
 
Feminism has gone from equal opportunty for both sexes to a supremacy movement. While some feminists don’t like transgenders because they realized the point I’ve made, some are probably celebrating the fact that men are feminizing themselves.
 
You can get ticketed not wearing a seatbelt.

If legality is about hurting others, why is heroin outlawed? Why can’t I shoot up heroin to relieve stress? I’m not hurting anyone.
