Oh. thanks for your answer, but i was asking as to why the gay Catholic group Dignity was there.
 
I always liked the idea of reminding people that God loves all of his children and like any good father, He wants us all to be with him someday!

I am also a huge fan of the popes Entire quote “If a person is gay and seeks out the Lord and is willing, who am I to judge that person?”

I know that who am I judge tries to get hijacked from a liberal perspective but I think it’s an absolutely beautiful statement. It’s like saying, I have sins! Great sins! I am trying to seek the Lord. Let’s seek the Lord together!

I’ve never been a member of Dignity and don’t know a lot about them, so I can’t really speak for them. But I imagine that they were probably at the parade to let gay Catholics in the crowds watching the parade know that there was a Catholic group that they could turn to for support. And I’m sure that Dignity was there to show solidarity with other LGBT people generally.

I attended a Mass with the gay Catholic friends I went to the parade with, probably at Most Holy Redeemer. I’m sure that it was connected with the group Dignity. And that was the first Catholic Mass that I had ever been to. That was in 1982. But, as Wikipedia says:
On October 1, 1986, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, the Catholic body charged to “spread sound Catholic doctrine and defend those points of Christian tradition which seem in danger because of new and unacceptable doctrines”,[3] issued a letter entitled On the Pastoral Care of Homosexual Persons. In it, the Catholic Church affirmed its position that homosexuality was an “objective disorder” and that all support should be withdrawn from any organization that undermined the Church’s teaching or were ambiguous about or neglectful of it.

An immediate effect of the document was the decision by several American bishops to order that DignityUSA no longer be allowed to hold Mass in Catholic churches. Dioceses in Atlanta, Minneapolis, Buffalo, Brooklyn, Pensacola, Vancouver, Washington, D.C. and New York City all rescinded permission for the organization to hold services on church property. In some cases the group chapters had been holding Masses for a decade or longer.

Ng special, like Church family picnic or family movie at alternative location. Have special Holy Mass said for that group’s intentions/reparations, a day or so beforehand so that it’s finished BEFORE that group shows up.

And see if there’s a sanitation company that can disinfect the area later. I would isssue face masks and give instructions to your church members not to touch anything that these people migh have handled. Hazchem suits are probably too expensive but be sure to burn all your clothes if you were in the area on that day. Keep all pets inside and stay downwind of the event at all times. Check the local weather station for wind direction.

Well, as you are not sure (…rightly or wrongly…) I’ll help out. Yes, approval that our brothers and sisters who find themselves attracted to members of their own sex should be allowed and even encouraged to live in our society without some suggesting that they are to be treated as people who are to be avoided…is right.
 
1 John 4:7-10 was this Sunday’s reading. Let us love one another, since love comes from God.

There are no “these people” or “those people” or truely a real enemy in human form.

You can preach the Gospel, without being hateful and hate filled. You can preach the Gospel without shouting or screaming or waving distasteful flags or banners in front of people.

It saddens me that we feel like we can’t do anything other than be so confronting and unhelpful.

I wouldn’t want my children around them. Also, it rather creeps me out. Knowing that “they” are strongly disapproved of by Our Lord, leads me to wariness, also. Except for #1- They are actively attempting to correct. #2- Looking at my own sinfulness.

You know, we live in a natural world. Homosexuality has natural causes. There is the new(?) open neural tube , that testosterone sprinkles in boys, theory. Conversely, open neural tube in girls gets sprinkled w estrogen. There is over supply of female hormone in Guys theory, same for girls ( too much testosterone).
There is the reincarnation theory. We’re not suppose to believe in reincarnation. One life, one death, one Ressurection. You were a boy’s body liking girls’. Now, you are a girls body w your boy spirit from previous life, liking girls.
We live in a supernatural world within the natural world. There is Bondage and Possession. A natural cause and a supernatural cause could be operational together. Discernment is needed. After the SSA is identified, have a medical wotkup done. Then, see a priest.
The main thing is we all have some part of us that needs discipline. We all are inconvenienced. AVOID THE OCCASION OF SIN. Be a contemplative. Avoid a lot of ppl.
I’ve said this before, sex has pulled humankind into sin since Adam and Eve.
It has been elevated to a god level. THEYLL SHALT PUT NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME.

Parameters like you keep your sex on birth certificate. The woman coming up w x gender needs some counseling. We’re playing w beautiful Spirits here. Maybe heaven and hell?? Not 100% but coupe be 30%?
The APA, states that if sexual, psychological reversal is done too early, the brain develops irritated areas(?). They recommend, NOT starting any gender manipulation till after puberty. That makes sense. A child is evolving into being an adult from birth onward.
How can I say this?? A man becoming a woman w Mutilation therapy does not look good in totu. Caitlyn Jenner has money and looks good EXCEPT FOR HANDS AND FEET.
Another guy/woman military historian looks terrible. He has a thick, bull neck. Plus, He changed to a woman and married a woman! Now, how Dolores that work? Lesbians??

That brings us to some psychological trauma as underlying cause???
If, these deviations, didn’t hurt others, “go be happy”…Do what you want. But, they do.

Good points brought up! Being at variance with God’s Order/Plan, aka sinning, makes complications. Complications are bad for the peace & well-being of people. Best to follow God’s Plan regardless of the cost.
