That’s what bothers me about this whole thing. They hold these concerts to “raise awareness” of a problem. Wouldn’t it make a lot more sense to hold the concerts in order to “raise CASH” to donate to the problem.

That said, you can throw all the money in the world at the AIDS problem, but money won’t solve anything if it doesn’t include education.

Where are all the “activists” when someone HAS aids and needs HELP? They are a 1 trick pony- Condoms will solve all our problems, rendering education and treatment unnessisary.

As for Europe not being as “helpful”, I really think some people figure aids will SOLVE the worlds problems- if we kill off entire 3rd world nations, think of the resources we will save for the “valuable” 1st world…How Darwin.

Bob Geldof is very passionate about things and his vocabulary can sometimes be crude but i like him.Inviting a million people to Edinburgh is going to cause mayhem though with all kinds of protests going on during the G8 summit.Please pray that there is no violence and casulties during this period.Probably wise to visit my son in Ireland at this time. and the Pope wise enough to refrain and stay in Rome.
