I have the impression that the Catholic Church has no preference…is that so?

The NAB-RE says:

“I will put enmity between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers;
They will strike at your head,
while you strike at their heel.”

RSV-CE:

I will put enmity between you and the woman,
and between your seed and her seed;
he shall bruise your head,
and you shall bruise his heel.

D-R:

I will put enmities between you and the woman,
and your seed and her seed:
she shall crush your head,
and you shall lie in wait for her heel.

This is the first time I have seen “their heel”. It is “his heel” according to this. But the meaning remains the same.

“V’atah tshufen-nu akev” is translated as “and thou shalt bruise their heel.”

Not so sure about this one. The verb “tshufen-nu” appears to be literally “you [male singular] will bruise our heel.”
