I just don’t care for Katie Couric.
Besides, (and I know I’m going to get blasted to kingdom come for this…BUT) I just don’t care for women reporting the news.
And that goes for radio also.
Before anyone asks, yes, I am a woman.

couldn’t be that people just don’t like her or don’t take her as a serious reporter or the fact that some of us just refuse to watch the eveing news because it is so one-side and doesn’t give us a full picture of what is going on…instead they blame Gender

‘Gender’ Blamed for Katie Couric’s Low Ratings
CBS News and Sports President Sean McManus says that gender bias may play a role in the disappointing ratings Katie Couric has been getting on "CBS Evening News.”
I note that whoever wrote the article had the education to put “gender” in quotes.

A news organization ought to be able to speak and write in standard English. “Gender” does not mean “sex.” “Gender” applies to gramatical entities, not people and animals.

It couldn’t have anything to do with the fact that she openly snears at conservatives?

Or the lovefests she has with liberals? Did anybody see her interview Nancy Pelosi when she became Speaker of the House? She practically got down on the floor and rolled around with glee. I’d hate to see what would she’d do if Hilary Clinton got elected president. She’d probably get up on the anchor desk and jump up and down with joy.

I just don’t like her - and the second I saw her in the anchor chair after she had that HORRIBLE face lift, I just can’t even look at her any more, she gives me the heeby-jeebies.

she is a liberal and is biased in favor of the democratic liberals agenda is why its a turn off for alot of american people. i’m not saying shes a bad person but her news leans left big time. the mainstream media is traditional left wing.

she will smile like a butchers dog when hilliary becomes president i’m sure.

I don’t care if she is a woman. She is a liberal and that is the problem.

She is unprofessional, and that is the problem. She is also arrogant – she expects the world to adjust to her, rather than adjusting her performance to meet the world’s desires.

Ha ha. I’m glad it’s not just me. I can’t stand her. I don’t watch 60 minutes anymore either since they put her on. She is very condescending. Whoever mentioned the “sneer” - hit it right on the head.

‘Gender’? Yeah Right!!

The MSM has been losing audience in all markets for a long time. Much of it is due to the competition from new news sources that provide a difference view that this biased leftist reporting that they are providing. They will not recognize this due to their blindness to the truth. This blindness is caused by hatred of anything and anyone not in lockstep with their extreme agenda of Secular Relativism.

Maybe 'cause she just flat sucks at reporting serious news… her “America’s Cutie on TV” died with her aging and subsequent plastic surgery… and there are 100,000+ other families out there who’ve lost a spouse, and didn’t get 6+ MILLION a year to be a talking head on TV because of it?

This is the problem in a nutshell.

Couric is a liberal who can’t help but campaign for liberals during her TV appearances, when she’s supposed to be reporting news objectively!
She is very unprofessional, dishonest, and one of the founding members of the blatantly left-biased main stream media. I’m sure she’s proud of herself.
As unChristian as it is to say, I find her to be an abhorent human being. I’ll have to pray harder in asking for the grace to pray for people like Katie Couric.

I have never liked 60 Minutes and make it a point to leave the room while DH watches it. IMO it is a collection of “hit” pieces that only give one view of whatever it is they are covering. Every issue has more than one view.

Katie Couric kind of strikes me as a person with tendencies of a B with and itch. Can I say that?

I love how they blame bias or bigotry when you are not in lockstep with them. They are for choice only if you choose them and for competition only if they are the only competitors.

It is much like the old Soviet Union or China today. They call/ed themselves a democracy even though you only had their candidates to vote for. You had a choice, vote for them or abstain. In the case of abstaining, you always ran the risk of imprisonment.

To me, Couric is a features journalist. She’s great at things like the Olympics and the Oscars. But I really don’t like to hear from her news like, “Today, twelve troops were killed in Iraq by a roadside bomb” or “Sixty charges of sodomy against alleged pedophile who held 2 boys captive in St. Louis suburb.”

She’s just too “cute” to be taken seriously. I guess that could qualify at “cute bias” on my part. Apologies to all of you who are cute and serious.

I still miss Walter Cronkite! To me, he was the perfect newscaster. It was like listening to my father talk. I trusted his wisdom, and appreciated his occasional outbursts of emotion (e.g., when Kennedy was shot).
