General absolution in NYC

Hi,
Does anyone know if NYC has general absolution in effect. I can’t find the information on the internet. Parish not answering phone and all masses and sacraments are cancelled here.

If we do have it, how does it “work”, do I just have prayer time alone and ask God to forgive me.

Sorry it sounds so elementary but that’s the only way I can understand now.

No idea, but I can see good reasons for thinking it may not be such a bad idea.
