Ever wonder why they made aprons for themselves as a way to cover up? The specific areas they felt they needed a barrier for were the ones that are associated with the unitive and procreative relationship. There has to be a reason they felt the need to put a barrier there and not their heads or feet or other body parts. Was wondering if this was humanity’s first contraceptive action to reflect the broken relationship.

Animals were sacrificed to obtain those skins. Perhaps the first sacrifice in salvation history, and done to cover the sin of Adam and Eve in their disobedience.

Holy Bible (Douay Rheims)
Gen 3:21 • ‘And the Lord God made for Adam and his wife, garments of skins, and clothed them.’

Are you asserting that they didn’t eat meat prior to this?

I think he’s making reference to the fig leaf aprons.

7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

God gave them to eat of the fruit of the trees. There is no mention of giving them the flesh of animals to eat.

Gen 2:6 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Yes, my mistake.
