The Pope doesn’t seem to agree with you as his Holiness does not condemn evolution and, as Jharek pointed out, accepting it is not within direct contradiction to one’s Catholic faith.

You are pitting the Church against something it is not opposed to. That says a lot.

The problem with that is that you’re already on the path of buying evolution and the old earth theory because that’s what happens the less literal you interpret Genesis. It’s a slippery slope where you will not stop sliding.

I don’t understand, I do interpret Genesis 1 literally. And I am certainly not on the path of buying evolution.

Then you can’t believe dinosaurs exist because there’s no mention of them there.
