I’m totally opposed to any genetic engineering enhancement altogether. It would be unfair to many, especially the poor who would’nt have access to it.
As a Protestant, one of the many reasons I have become attracted to the RCC is because of their consistent stand on life and human dignitiy- Humana Vitae, Donum Vitae, Evangelium Vitae, Ect.
I can’t think of any good arguments for it, other than you want an “edge” over everyone else, or perhaps to push the human race to a new “evolutionary place”.
C.S. Lewis said in the “Abolition of Man” that if man ever get the capability to make their decendents as they please(i.e. genetic engineering, ect) then every decendent afterward would be like a slave to the ancestors. We would be making people in OUR own image(what we think of our image) rather than God’s.
To me, it’s playing God.
