In the Traditional Latin mass, after the consecration of the host, the priest will first genuflect, then elevate the host, and then genuflect again a second time after placing the host on the altar, and the same again with the chalice.
In the Novus Ordo, after the consecration, the priest will immediately elevate the host and then genuflect once, and then similar with the consecration of the chalice afterwards etc.
Has anyone experienced a Novus Ordo Mass in which the priest has performed both genuflections? I know an oratorIan that has done it a few times and wonder if the Holy See spoken about this. Another priest recently told me that Priests like himself and Cardinal Sarah have brought it back, but there seems to be not much information on the internet about it and not many discussions going on about it, so I’m wondering what other people have experienced in this regard
