How many people remembered to genuflect (at the OF) on Christmas where one should normally bow? Did parishes seem at all aware of this rubric?
I’m a big fan of the practice (one of two times a year I’m allowed to genuflect at that point in the OF), but I’m pretty sure I was the only one at the parish who did it. Knowing that few people have ever even been told that we are to bow (profoundly) at “By the power of the Holy Spirit…and became man,” I highly doubt they know about this, but I wanted to chart the general awareness in the pews.
