SuZ - While the genuflection on both knees before the Exposed Sacrament is still a pious practice, it is no longer mandatory.
I think the “no longer mandatory” - part worries me a bit. Another watered down tradition.
If I would discontinue my practice of genuflecting on both knees in front of the exposed Blessed Sacrament, I would feel guilty. In my opinion, I believe that the Blessed Sacrament is God. And to me, God deserves all my reverence and respect - so I will continue to bow down, genuflect and adore my God, whether the rule of “no longer mandatory” exists or not.
That is just my very humble opinion.
