Are you claiming that when a term like “white genocide” is used it brings attention to real genocides? How does it lead readers to know anything about the Rohingya when the Rohingya aren’t mentioned?

Your comments seem needlessly combative given my statements against this professor’s behavior.
 
I read a little more on this professor and apparently last January she was charged with some offense at Frankfurt Airport. The German airport security told her she had to get rid of a liquid deodorant that was in her bag. She responded by going on a rant and calling them Nazis and making some remark about another customer’s “Hitler Youth” haircut. She later denied she did the whole thing although there were witnesses. Georgetown gave the same canned answer.

This is a young professor in the foreign service program, surely she has a clue about expected airport behavior and the fact that referencing Nazi anything in Germany is going to get you in big trouble. I suspect she has some sort of mental illness based on her pattern of behavior, which also includes getting into some altercation with Richard Spencer at a gym as well as her attacks on a fellow professor who voted for Trump and this latest tweet. This is not like the Drexel prof who had a background in creating activist-type chaos through his remarks, this woman sounds unwell.

There is no evidence that Tucker Carlson used such a word in relation to this episode or no news story that I have seen.

Thank you for correcting me. It looks like Carlson did not sensationalize this. It looks like the professor did call for white genocide so Carlson reported on the facts.

That does fit in to the definition of genocide used by some. Carlson can not be faulted for reporting the truth about such alarming words.

Simply put “no”. Warning of white genocide seems to be different though. Perhaps one can interpret the words of the professor as calling for it very easily. Professor Fair’s words are heinous and despicable. Imagine an individual saying the words she is saying about any ethnic group.

Edit on: I’ve made my point. I will not write any further on this as to not be argumentative. Carlson just called it fairly.

So this woman is selfish, lying, evil and irrational. This latest incident was just one of many that demonstrated she was unfit to teach. Yet she remains a professor.
 
She may well be under some kind of a contract where they can’t just get rid of her without a lawsuit. Also, if she is indeed ill, they may have some kind of policy where they try to get her some help and don’t just fire her.

She definitely sounds like a loose cannon though, even worse than the Drexel guy. He was engaging in purposeful agitation for political purposes. I cannot imagine going off at a bunch of Frankfurt Airport security officers as having any political value. It’s likely to just get you tossed in jail and then your University would have to pull strings to get you out.
 
As you know you can sue with or with out a contract. Anyone can sue for anything. But what kind of contract wouldn’t have a morals clause? And if calling for castration of males of a particular race isn’t a violation of a morals clause then nothing is.

Even if they are going to get her ‘help’ for an undiagnosed and unknown problem why wouldn’t they remove her right now from teaching?
 
If a white male professor tweeted something as vulgar and racist as Professor C. Christine Fair did, how long would that man keep his job ?

Something is seriously wrong with Catholic universities and their hiring practices. Why does a professor at a Catholic university want to castrate only white men’s corpses. How do you determine who is white. Would that include all Hispanics or those with a small amount of native American indian blood? Also, isn’t mutilation of a corpse a sin?
There are many white men who have been good fathers, worked for and given to charities, and sacrificed a lot for their families. I don’t understand why a professor at a Catholic university would propose mutilating their corpses.
 
ON THE OTHER HAND…

Not to defend what she said but that she had a right to say it. I’d say what she says stinks, but if she allowed her students equal privilege than so be it.

Academic freedom is in danger, especially in public education.
 
That is almost worse. They admit she shouldn’t be teaching but still employ her for reasearch?
 
She may be doing research under contracts funded by outside grant funding or by third parties that are paying her to do research. If that’s the case, then not allowing her to finish the research could mean the school has to pay back funding or end up in a breach of contract situation with whoever is sending the money.

They may also be advising her to take some time off and get help for her mental issues, or take X number of months and find a new job, and the “doing international research” story is just a cover story for the press. It avoids having to fire her, which might trigger a lawsuit.
