Georgia county approves waste station next to church (CNA)

As someone who has lived in Lawrenceville, I would have a problem if this was a open air landfill, but its not. It’s an indoor transfer facility so as long as the county follows the guidelines they set it shouldn’t be a hazard to the parishoners.
 
Even if it is a modern facility, it still seems really tacky to me. I wonder what’s going on in that town…

The county in the article has been developing a lot of the past few years. Big population increases and development are creating an increase in waste that needs to be dealt with. If you look up the Church and the adjacent land to it on google earth or google maps with street view, there is a lot of worn down land that is the perfect spot to put one of these facilities in that will not be a problem for the parishoners if the county follows their own conditions on it.
