They taped over the Blessed Mother’s mouth…I guess to keep her from saying ‘do whatever He tells you’.
 
What ever happened, I wonder, to the idea that instead of trying to drag people ‘down’ we should try to ‘raise ourselves up’ instead???
 
I think when your protest includes refusing to attend Mass, you sort of show how little you care about the things of God.

It really hurts somebody like me with my German heritage, to see how the Church in Germany–the churches my grandparents would have attended before they came to the US in the early 20th century, the churches where many of my relatives today either attend or (too often) have left, the churches where my grandparents, and then my mother’s, formulation in Catholicism laid a bedrock foundation in truth that has been today made ‘Orwellian’ in that virtually nothing accepted as true ‘then’ is accepted as true NOW–how those churches have fallen to AntiChrist teaching and thinking. God help us.
 
It is good that Cardinal Woelki has spoken out against the protest, but I wish that he, or other faithful bishops in Germany, would speak out against the bishops that are lending their support to this protest. The real scandal is not the protest itself; that is a scandal to be sure, but a minor one compared to the true scandal that there are bishops who are openly supporting it. I’m not holding my breath on that though.
