I’ve been drawn to being a practicing Catholic for 2 main reasons:
  1. Reading stories of miracles of the Catholic church.
  2. Experiencing great hardships and feeling a need for help from God and answered prayers.
I have started praying the rosary, and wearing the Mary miraculous medal as I have heard many people have their prayers answered, and have been helped by devotion to Mary during times of great hardships. Has anyone here have interesting stories of answered prayers, or help from Mary? Please share.

I found a website I like, with so many stories of people being helped through rosary prayer: erosary.com/option,com_mi…/Itemid,83.htm

In response to getting answers to prayers, here is a good one that was on CAF.

A Muslim prayer…

I asked for Strength…And Allah gave me Difficulties to make me strong.
I asked for Wisdom…And Allah gave me Problems to solve.
I asked for Prosperity…And Allah gave me Brain and Brawn to work.
I asked for Courage…And Allah gave me Danger to overcome.
I asked for Love…And Allah gave me Troubled people to help.
I asked for Favours…And Allah gave me Opportunities.

I received nothing I wanted and I received everything I needed.
My Prayer has been answered.

From that, one would guess that Mulims are catholic.

Just a thought.

I have learned two very hard lessons regarding prayer-
one you will find in my signature,
the other a quote from Kathleen Norris~
“Prayer is not asking for what you want, but asking to be transformed in ways you could never imagine”

I like that. How true.

Thanks for this.

Thank you for the link. I’m in the midst of a 54 day rosary novena and I was looking for a site that provided prayers answered by praying the rosary. So even your post is an answer to a rosary prayer! Thank you Mary and Jesus!

You are a catholic but believe allah answers peoples prayers!?!

Remember that God answers all prayers, but sometimes, his answer is no. Look at the Agony in the Garden: Jesus prayed to God three times that he might be delivered from his suffering and death, and obviously, God said no to all three. And if God can say no his only begotten son three times on the night before his death, then I think he can say no to me.

Well that is a good question. If I’m not mistaken, to them that is the name that God goes by, just as the Indians named God “great spirit”. As one wise man said, “listen carefully to what is being said, not just the words.”

Just a thought.
