I would agree. The Euphrates IS a beautiful river, but Ive seen some of the refuse folk throw in there. I shall not swim in it. 😃

I had the opportunity to visit St Catherine’s once, and was able to climb to the top of Mt Sinai… but that is another thread. Second largest ancient library in the world at St Catherine’s. Largest is in the Vatican. Didn’t see a single kittie. TONS OF KITTIES AT THE VATICAN THOUGH!!!

A good friend of mine was sending his mom and her sister, who were of Italian descent, and of modest means, on their first trip to Rome. Both of them were Catholic, and had grown up in a household steeped in Italian language and culture. The two elderly sisters are packing for the trip. One sister notices that the other has a suitcase full of small plastic food storage bags. “What are all those bags for?” “It’s cat food for all the cats.” Rome is cat central. Everywhere you go, it’s all cats.

Hmmm…another good reason to visit Rome! However, as much as I like cats and find them cuddly, my body disagrees. I am SO allergic to cats. I have two that roam my house, and Claratin gets a good chunk of my income…lol

Ernest Hemingway’s home on key west is another place to go. The cats are the descendants of the cats he owned. They are well taken care of, and get to roam the property at will. 🙂 Nice and sunny down there. Yet another cat paradise. 👍

I was once stalked by a barracuda off of Key West. He was following me at a depth of about 15-20 ft, behind me about 3-5 ft. Every time I looked back at him, he grinned at me like a dog baring its teeth. I could have used an underwater tiger who liked to eat 'cuda.

Sounds like you and I have been to alot of the same places. 🙂 Just once. Just one time, It would be nice if they had us invade a nice country that has a better climate. Deserts are ok, but get soooo hot! 😛 How bout a nice tropical invasion? 👍 You ever been to Hawaii? we have some interesting Sharks that eat people there. Tigers and bulls. And the occasional Great White. California and australia have the monopoly on those bad boys though. 😉

Been to Hawaii… I grew up there. My folks keep a house on Maui which I can use anytime. They are there about 50% of the time. Yeah, my first desert experience was at 29 Palms for training. I still remember the first day there. 128 F. Not as bad as the shithole you are in now. Stay safe brother. I think that Tahiti needs to be taken from the frogs in retaliation for sinking the Rainbow Warrior. I’ll reup for that invasion, as long as I get to be part of the occupying force for a while. Speaking of bitey sea creatures, my brother lives in Oregon. The best surf is at the river outlets where the salmon run. The seals eat the salmon. The sharks eat the seals. Surfers look a lot like seals from below.
