Getting holy objects blessed by a bishop

I have a bunch of holy objects such as rosaries, Bibles, medals, and crucifixes that I need to have blessed. I can ask my local priest to do it, but I noticed recently that if the objects are blessed by a bishop then you can get an extra indulgence by using them on the Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul.

So, my question is: Is there a particular day, like Easter, that bishops tend to bless holy objects for the congregation en masse (like the Pope does in St. Peters’ Square)? If so, I could just bring the box of objects along and not have to make a special appointment. If not, I would have to approach a bishop or his office myself, which is a little intimidating as I don’t happen to know or regularly encounter any bishops. One reason why I have so much unblessed holy stuff is that I am shy about even approaching priests to do this, let alone barging up to a bishop after Mass, but if that’s what it takes I’ll give it the old college try.

Just box them up and ask your priest after daily Mass.

How should you ask for the blessing of a sacramental? Walk right up to a deacon, priest, or bishop, and simply ask: “Father/Deacon/Your Excellency, would you be so kind as to bless my [religious object]? Most won’t just do it, but will do so with great eagerness. I have found that holy deacons, priests, and bishops take joy in the privilege the Church gives them to bless things for people because they love to do anything that will help people draw closer to Jesus. I pray this was helpful, and remember that Jesus loves you, and we do too.

If it were me, I wouldn’t ask the Archbishop, and I know him well. 😊 He’d ask me why I waited so long. 😉
 
I was heartened by the fact that Knoxville diocese actually discusses this on their site. Unfortunately, I am not anywhere near their diocese. I tried sending an inquiry to one diocese I spend time in via their website inquiry form, but didn’t get an answer (which may mean either they’re busy or the form sends to a black hole). I’ll try another diocese or two where I attend from time to time.
