Getting lost during Latin Mass

When I first attended Latin Mass ,I to couldn,t follow the missolet booklets,but now I can,somtimes I loss,were I,am in the booklet,but 99% of the time, I follow to the end. So ask God ,Jesus and Mary to help you,but never give up. God Bless

Can anyone confirm the for me which parts of the Tridentine High Mass are inaudible? I kind of got thrown off at the beginning during the Asperges, so I might have made a mistake 😛

I attended the High Mass today (8/21/2012, 21st Sunday after Pentecost)

Loud - Can be heard by laity
Silent - Inaudible by the laity

It’s early in the morning and I am too lazy to re-read the other posts, but in case this was not posted before.

If you are looking to save some dollars and have easy access to a printer, as a temporary solution, I would recommend:

Buying one of those missalette booklets which are about $4. That way you will have the order of the Mass.

You can also print out the whole mass (propers and order of Mass) from DivinumOfficium.com. For example, here is today’s Mass.

It sounds like you’ve mostly got it. The postcommunion will come immediately after the “Dominus Vobiscum” that follows the communion verse.

The dismissal is almost always “Ite Missa Est” and should be audible. You sing “Deo Gratias.”

After that, father says a short prayer facing of thanksgiving facing the altar, then comes the blessing. You’ll know its time because everyone will kneel while he makes the sign of the cross over you.

Sometimes the Last Gospel is audible, sometimes not, I forget when and why but it immediately follows the blessing. Towards the end of it everyone will genuflect at the words “VERBUM CARO FACTUM EST.”

Keep it up! Sounds like you’re making great progress.
