I mean, if I was looking for subtle and deeper understanding of the moral dimensions involved in following the 3rd Commandment, you would not be the first source I would turn to.

Then perhaps you should turn to those in authority who have never said that we should not do anything other than “rest” on Sunday. You may pull out ancient and archaic opinions on the matter in your quest for “subtle and deeper understanding” but the fact is that it lacks relevance in the modern world. I’ve seen the pastor of the local parish in a grocery store on Sunday. His actions caused a group of people to be required to work on Sunday. Perhaps I should forward your views to him though I doubt that you would not be the first source that he would turn to in exploring the subject.

I’ve heard of pastors doing things that put them in prison for several years and on sex-offender lists for life.
So, it depends on who you trust.
I’ve read enough of your comments to have an understanding of your views. They may indeed be helpful for many others - and that’s great. But not for me – and life is like that, isn’t it?
