I know it’s not nearly as important as all the other stuff on here, but if you could find the time to just say a quick prayer for me I’d really appreciate it… There’s a good chance tomorrow that I’ll finally have to face this girl that I haven’t had to talk to in almost a year. (save for one strange and brief exception) Even though it’s irrational I keep finding myself fighting this grudge that I have with her. She probably has no idea either, so it will be even more awkward when I try and contain it. In fact I saw her earlier today, and even though I didn’t have to talk to her or anything it took a really long time to get all the negative thoughts out of my head. It doesn’t really make sense and I know these thoughts are very destructive but I can’t really help it. 😦 Thanks in advance.

Lord of love, look with immeasurable compassion upon the heart of exoflare, granting a remission of this residual hardness of heart which remains. Grant that exoflare have the grace to pray for this woman and to listen more than speak during any meetings. May exoflare wear the face of Christ, so that only His Divine love is reflected to her. May a heartfelt reconciliation occur, so that both hearts are no longer hardened, but fully flesh and bearers of Your love. We pray that exoflare relax the death grip upon the animosity that remains, realizing that it is tainted by the hands of the evil one! May all human forgiveness be modeled after Your Divine forgiveness, Lord. We ask this through Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!

It’s no less important than anyone else’s.
God, this problem with a grudge concerns peace of mind and the ability to live freely, and to share the love of God in a relationship. A grudge leaves a painful place in the person’s spirit.

Jesus, You know that this person has a grudge for good reason, and cannot just plaster over it. Yes, there is a wrong done in some way, and it hurts, and it makes the person angry.
Therefore Jesus, please let this person ask You to give Your forgiveness within for the person who caused the wound. Let it be Your forgiveness that flows through to the other person and into the meeting.
Holy Spirit please bring this person’s mind healing and freedom.

Praise you God who can do these thing through the willing heart.

Bless you, and all the best with your meeting.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that any one who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided.

Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother!

To thee I come, before thee I stand sinful and sorrowful.

O Mother of the Word Incarnate! Despise not my petitions,

but in thy mercy, hear and answer me.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amoungst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen

The best you thing you can do is relax, take a deep breath, and say God help me, I can’t do it without your grace and mercy. It really works. You will be in my prayers.

Thank you all so much for all your prayers. The meeting went fine… I tried to just avoid her but she ended up talking to ME. I’m very confused. Oh well, I managed to keep my sanity anyhow. 🤷

Exoflare, consider that your confusion may result from the grudge producing disordered and confusing thoughts and emotions. God is love and calls upon you to pray for this woman. Look at her with the eyes of Christ - not impossible, but distasteful to us. Christ does not lead along the easy path, but the difficult and narrow one. You must constantly fight to stay on the path, and to return to it when you stray. He never promised an easy life, only that He would be with us on our journey.

We, who indulge in “ruminative thought” are our worst enemies. We retain the bad, because it may be all we know, or possess in a given situation. Faith and trust teach us to let go and place each of our cares and concerns in the hands of the loving Father, Who never fails. Again, we must deny ourselves and take up our cross before following Christ. This is another hard teaching, but one we must cling to.

Christ’s peace be always with you.
