How can you get rid of venial sin. I have heard you strike the breast twice and say something. I know the Lord’s prayer will work. We are probably constantly doing this.
 
They are talking about the Confeiteor at Mass. Proper praying of this prayer with a contrite heart remits venial sins. As does the proper use of Holly Water and the reception o. t’s the church’s way of ensuring we are pure for reception of Holy Communion. Or at least as much as we can be.
 
I think that Saint Augustine said b that saying one Our Father devoutly can remove venial sins.
 
Penance, Works of Mercy, Indulgences, Prayer, Good Works, Recieving Communion.

Does it have to be a confeiteor or could I just say an act of contrition?
 
I believe she was talking about within the Mass.
Everyone should say the Act of Contrition daily, but you one still has to go to confession.
 
I am seeing a prayer in a dedicated church. Holy water. Blessing of a Bishop, does that mean not a priest? Lord’s prayer. Hmm
