I currently own three rosaries, two are standard 5-decade ones and the third is a smaller 1-decade one. The small one (I don’t know if they have a proper name) was a recent gift and I was thinking about how I need to get it blessed when I realised that I am unsure if one of my other ones is blessed. It’s the one I usually use and was a gift from my father but I don’t know if it was ever blessed.

Is it better to have it blessed just to be on the safe side because I’m pretty sure it can’t have been blessed?

Edit: Oh and just to clarify, I know the easiest option would be to ask my father if he ever had it blessed but unfortunately I have no idea how to contact him.

In my experience, after Sunday Mass, when the priest was standing in the narthex of our church greeting parishioners, I went up to him and, just holding out several rosaries, asked, “Father, would you bless my rosaries?” He said the words of blessing and made the sign of the cross over them. Simple as that. A deacon can bless sacramentals, too.
If you’re not sure if a rosary has been blessed , you can still offer it for a blessing.

I don’t see the problem. There is no requirement to have them blessed in any case, but if you wish, simply take these and any other sacramentals you have to the priest after Mass, or in his office, or to the deacon, and ask for the blessing.
