Recently, a new approach has been tried to get people used to other people who don’t live as they do. Specifically, I’m talking about people who do not live as Catholics are taught to live.

Children are being exposed to “alternative lifestyles” in “diversity” days or weeks at their school. Kids who have not fully formed an identity or awareness of the outside world are being exposed to other lifestyles. Up to a point, it’s good. There are many races, nationalities and ethnic groups in the United States. We should all get to know them.

However, other lifestyles are creeping in that do not revolve around race or country or traditions based on an ethnic group. These are homosexuals, who, appropriately, should be regarded as fellow human beings that should not be belittled or harrassed for being gay. However, these kids are also exposed to gay family materials.

Find out what your kids are being exposed to. Odds are, they are too young to fully understand the gay family concept. They should not be taught to give gay people a hard time, but they need to understand what the Church teaches about the subject of the family.

Peace,
Ed

Hi, Ed. Thank you for the wonderful advice. Funny, but this matter was just addressed on another thread. Here’s how I deal with that issue… I will sell a kidney, if I must, to pay tuition for Catholic school. And even more important than that, I have consecrated my child to the Blessed Mother. In today’s world, she is the only mother fully capable of leading our children to salvation. That’s her job and she does it well.

its hard to love ppl when they(ppl not just homosexuals) do this to lil kids instead of perserving their innocence…

i was telling my mom earlier if the good LORD gives me children its either catholic school or homeschool :knight1:

p.s. i got nothign against gays it just annoys me when ppl(of any sexual orientation) push their evil upon kids:knight2:

Fortunately, in my school district up through 8th grade at least (I sent both my kids to Catholic High Schools), the parents in the area are quite sensitive to such nonsense.

I took advantage of previewing the materials in “health” class to see if any such agenda were being pushed, and am happy to say that I found none. High school might be a different matter. 🤷

In any case, I was loaded for bear but didn’t need to unleash a torrent of righteous indignation upon the principal of the middle school. 😃

Amen, amen and amen!

And I’m sure it won’t be long before the secular world starts pushing off pedophilia and beastiality as alternative lifestyles. I also have nothing against young people and animals. 😃
