Ghost cats are above my pay grade. But I’ve heard of them before. I can’t help but ask, whywould a demon pose as a harmless kitty curled up on a bed? Fascinating.

Well sadly it’s not my house. So I dont think I have authority to do that. Plus my partner’s mother think it’s fine. Which personally I dont think it is.
I will say many years my mental health took a turn living in this house for a while in the past. I didnt connect it to this maybe some thing demonic is happening.
I know not far away from this house is a school with this big grass feild. Apparently my partner when he was younger use to run and saw this shadow hooded figure on the feild. He has seen it twice or three times. But I’m wondering if maybe the whole area is haunted. Because the street we live on the name of the street its meaning means “watery grave”.

Baruch 6:22 mentions “cats”: “Bats, swallows, and birds light on their [idols’] bodies and heads; and so do cats.”
As a convert, I’m more familiar with the Protestant Bible. I’ve read Baruch several times since then, but that verse escaped me. Thanks for updating my information.

Negative spiritual reality can be hard to recognise sometimes but also can be wrongly recognised as it. Living in places like this can bring mental exhaustion, fears, anxiety…million things. It can be really hard.
If you cannot ask for Mass in that place or blessing by priest, then bless place by yourself with blessed water and then with exorcised salt if you have it-put it a little in every room and space and say: “God, bless this space”.
Pray for yourself for protection and peace and ask your partner to do the same. Try to talk with priest in your parish, with someone who believes in that reality, it is also important to not to take any other actions by yourself on it, you can bless it but priest should do other.
Try to find out some info about previous owners, about what happened in that house, anything bad/suspicious/spiritsm/occultism etc.so you can tell to priest.
I hope you will get some help soon. Don’t be afraid and don’t think too much about these things.
God bless you!
Mary, refuge of sinners pray for us!

Running off demons is a good thing…

Some elders just suffer them…

One had a pilgrim stay overnight once -
The elder gave him his sleeping bed -
Pilgrim woke up next day bruised and beaten,
Having had a bad night…
Elder apologized to him…
“The poor thing probably thought you were me…
He is not very smart, this one…
Sorry he disturbed you…”
Life goes on…

I have two ghost cats. They are both more beautiful than when they were alive. One of the cats never came into the house and was an outdoor cat. Now he goes anywhere he wants in the house and outdoors. I used to believe animals don’t survive death but, now I have seen them too many times. I think if we take care of animals, as pets, somehow we imprint something glorious on them and they are capable of surviving death and will be with us in heaven.

I’ve been thinking of this thread and wanted to add that due to my own experiences with evil, I don’t think that this would happen where in this situation, something evil is posing as something benign.

However, this is just my own particular opinion in this type of a situation after experiencing both good and evil over the years.

I’m still careful to pray and discern though, so I do understand what the other members are saying in this thread.

If anyone has any concerns about spirits in their home, I would certainly recommend that they talk to a priest about it.

The evil that I have experienced tends to want to instill fear in us, and wants to really scare us. That has been my own experience.

When I’ve seen my kitties from the past, they visit and they do the things that they did when alive–jump on the furniture, run around the hallway, look out of the balcony window, and so on.

Borrowing the word that you’ve used, their visits are “benign,” and so is their activity.
