Ghost tales at the library?

Many local establishments are at this time of the year hosting seanaces, ghost hunts, and paranormal events. These are everyday places in my area like all the children’s libraries, community centers etc…after such events occur would it make it improper to go to these places again ? I am worried about the library in particular. Say that the seanace at the library conjures up evil spirits. Could they attach to the books that I bring home for the children ?

Also would it be wrong to go to such events if they are only question and answer events? One event is a ghost story for kids so it’s low key with a question and answer session after. So they are not conjuring events. They are merely discussion of books of the scary genre. My kids font want to go I just want to know if in general everything of this subject matter should be avoided or only true ghostly events?

I wouldn’t fear the library because of the misguided actions of its administration. Spirits aren’t radioactive fallout; they don’t stick to things.

I enjoy M.R. James’ fictions, and several of them have been adapted into “Ghost stories for Christmas” by the BBC.

To the OP, I don’t think there would be any issue with going to a place that’s had one of those things occur.

As for going to them, it depends on which event you’re talking about. Ghost tours are usually nonsense, but are a fun way to see parts of older buildings that you may not get to see normally. They can also be enjoyable ways to see different parts of a city you might not go to otherwise. To me, they’re just harmless fun and an interesting way to learn about the history of the area.

Seances, on the other hand, are the direct attempt to contact supernatural forces through un-Godly means and should be avoided.

The Ghost stories for the kids would be fine, let your kids enjoy it and you’ll probably enjoy it as well.
