This state of existence is strange. Beings here have the option of physically tormenting individuals in this world and moving objects. Blankets are torn off of sleeping individuals, the same people can be suffocated to the brink of unconsciousness, knives can be tossed around kitchens, and they can create mischief at will. These beings are recognized has past humans, and officially been identified with these dead people. The distinction between these beings and demons is also well recognized by mediums and Church exorcists, even though demons can take on human forms.

There are two questions: Why are they allowed to interact with this world in this way, and exactly what dimension are they.?

It would seem there is an insecure stopover area after death that is not purgatory and where the destined for worse individuals can, “escape through the washroom windows.”🤷

Any thoughts.? Church answers?

Thanks, but it doesn’t explain why they can effect.

Effecting comes at the price of being judged, and in this case it can only be a re-judgment. Some of these “things” attempt murder, which is a mortal sin, and since we are talking about “mort”(lat:dead)al sin then his act no longer classifies as sinning.

In other words after Steve is judged for damnation after a life of sin, he gets sent to this wayward state to continue sinning(?) once again, but this time on a technicality it isn’t sin.

Is he re-judged this second time around?, third time?etc.

Scripture says we are judged once. See the problem?

It doesn’t appear these beings are yet judged, but await some queue for processing. Meanwhile, for amusement, if what they do is sin, then it is of a class that isn’t open for redemption since they need to be alive to receive absolution.

So the Life,Death,Judgment,Purgatory,Hell,Heaven sequence is more complex than it would seem.
