I am looking for a yes or no answer to this question. I know this must have been asked before but I will ask again. Is this true? where there “Giants” on earth that were wiped out? or does it mean something else. I forget the name of them in the bible heriphim??? something like that. I just wonder. No, I don’t believe so. No evidence of such beings has been discovered. However, I don’t believe the Church holds any dogmatic position on this. In the Bible they are nephilim in the Hebrew.

I believe the misunderstanding comes from a confusion about the phrase, “and the sons of God took and went in to the daughters of men, and bore them children, warriors of ancient renown” as referring to Angelic Beings like in First Enoch, who were themselves warriors. Instead, it seems more plausible that the “sons of God” are the righteous descendants of Abel, and the “sons of men” are the unrighteous descendants of Cain. The offspring of these unions were the nephilim - the warriors.

Are you talking about the pre flood so called angels? The nephillim?

If you are referring to the Giant that David killed he was (from memory) 6 foot 2, a giant for his times certainly but just a man

How do you define giants? There are basketball players over 7 feet. I would call them tall but not giants although to people living several thousand years ago they might call such people giants.
