Gift for 8 year old boy

Because of my surgery back in April, I was not able to attend my godson’s First Communion…I still want to get him a gift (which will be more like a back-to-school gift now ) What do you get an 8-year old? I know some of you parents know what stuff your kids like. Angel books? Figurines? A prayer card and a Star Wars figure???

a miraculous medal on a chain
the book The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C S Lewis or one of the sequels, or the video if he hasn’t yet seen the movie

Put a $5 bill or a gift card from a fast food restaurant with one of the above (if the parents approve) and it would be a hit.
