Gift for Rcia sponsor

With Easter vigil almost upon us I was asked by a friend if I had bought a gift for my sponsor and I didn’t even think of it. My question is this; do you buy a gift for your sponsor and if so what would be an appropriate gift. Thanks
 
Wow-I’m in RCIA and I never thought about that. Not sure what would be appropriate. Now you’ve got me wondering. 🙂 We are almost there !!!
 
I didn’t buy one for mine.
They bought one for me, though, upon my being received into full communion

Don’t feel obligated. Gift giving is not what RCIA is about
And in my years of being part of the RCIA team in my parish, sponsors were not given gifts. The candidates were, though, for when they came into communion at the Vigil
 
I bought mine a small framed picture, with a religious verse on it. It was a pretty thing, but not very expensive.
 
Thanks for the ideas. In counting down the days until I can receive Jesus in the Eucharist 😀
