I have a 'Trial Membership", too.
Yes, funny, I just saw you on that other thread and noticed that on your logonid too, so I was going to comment on it again here (I’m following you Maria, muh ha ha ha:D). It seems to be everyone that has a rather low post count goes through that stage. I must had had it myself and never noticed it, so apparently there’s something newer than new around here.

Well, if you’re going to stalk me, at least call me Marie, not Maria. 🙂

Oh dang, now I’ve blown my cover and you know I’m really not a stalker. I think I have been calling you Maria for some time. Something in the back of my head was telling me there was something wrong with your name, that I had got it wrong, but I didn’t pay attention to it, and sure enough. Sorry about that.

With all the threads in this forum lately about and dwelling on sex, I’d this thread is pretty tame.

Now how would I know? For example: doesn’t make sense. I’m not sure soemthing isn’t left out of the portion before that either. I “think” there is a word that belongs after the “I’d” and before “this”.
The word I forgot was say. I got ahead of myself in that post.

Okay, someone is being very, very nitpicky!
Did you understand the message? I certainly didn’t. I wouldn’t had asked, as I do plenty of typing mistakes myself, but since it was a verb missing, it was fairly crucial.

now we have had that break is there anything more to say regarding what this thread is supposed to be about

Not unless someone says something Iv’e gotta respond to. In the near future I maybe starting my own transsexual thread, that looks at the subject from a different angle and has a different outlook with it. But I need to put the idea to words.

I guess I have to ask… has this thread accomplished anything?? Has anyone’s attitude, opinion, understanding, been altered or changed?? Or, has this just been an exercise in our typing skills?? Has anyone that has participated in this discussion, been affected in any way.

My understanding is certainly greater than it was before. Granted I am just one soul and thousands of miles away, but since you asked 🙂

There’s a minor matter of chromosomes. Every cell in a man’s body (except those specifically involved in reproduction) has a Y chromosome in it; no cell in a woman’s body has a Y chromosome.
Unless she’s pregnant with a boy child, in which case some foetal cells will be in her bloodstream.

And then there’s those who are mosaics or chimerae, with both 46xx and 46xy (and often 45x and 47xxy) cells in their bodies.

De La Chapelle Syndrome men have 46xx chromosomes, and some 46xx men have become fathers, though that’s rare.

Swyer Syndrome and CAI Syndrome women have 46xy chromosomes, and the Swyer syndrome women can give birth.

Kleinfelter Syndrome people usually look male (with anomalies), though they have 47xxy chromosomes. Some have fathered children. But a few look female, and have given birth.

It’s not that simple I’m afraid. Chromosomes are a good guide, but not definitive

By the way, I’m Intersexed - there’s far more of us than commonly believed. By the most inclusive definition, including syndromes only a lab test would reveal, 1 in 60 people are Intersexed. For blatantly obvious syndromes, it’s more like 1 in 1000. That’s still over a quarter of a million people in the USA.
