We actually just joined a troop and had our first meeting last week. It seemed very providential for me to meet the leaders at a birthday party. We had our first meeting and the other girls were so sweet and welcoming to my daughter and the other moms were great. Nothing inappropriate at all.
It was only $25 to join and I was able to get a scholarship for that.
The girls right now are making a scarecrow to enter into a home/garden show, growing pumpkins, and getting to know each other with a backyard campout.
You’ll just to try out the troops in your area. I was very happy that God is still included in the the Girl Scouts pledge. So far I’m really happy that we decided to try it out. My daughter is much happier with just girls than being with boys in her brother’s troop.
