What’s the history between the Catholic church and the Girl Scouts? Where can I get the real facts and not something that has gone through media spin? I’ve never paid attention because I haven’t had a relationship with the Girl Scouts, but I may be considering a job with them and I want to be clear about any issues.

I’ve seen Catholic articles on how Planned Parenthood is involved with their program, indoctrinating the girls into sexual promiscuity and abortion. Several years ago, the Girl Scouts were selling cookies in front of my parish church. A mother and daughter involved were parishoners as well. Had I known about the Girl Scouts then, I would have brought it to the attention of the parish.
