Girlfriend left me

My girlfriend broke up with me last Thursday and it has been very difficult for me. I love her very much and do not want to lose her. She says she still loves me but doesn’t “want” me as she puts it. I am not sure how to approach that so I have been doing a lot of praying. Praying that if she does love me as I love her that God will guide her back to me. I started a St. Jude novena 3 days ago and I hope this will help me during a very rough time for me. Please pray for me. Thank you and God bless.
 
Will keep you in my prayers. But I have always looked at it this way, if a very special girlfriend or boyfriend leaves you, then it just wasn’t meant to happen.

I had a girlfriend in college. We dated for more than 3 years!! In the end, she started getting tired of me and felt I was dragging her down when she wanted to go out with her other friends from work.

Ultimately, I saw the writing on the wall and she decided to call it quits. It was really rough but I had some support from some good friends and I got over it.

Looking back, I can’t believe I was ever with this girl! It was the best blessing in disquise that we broke up. It allowed me the freedom to really decide what I want in life and in my future spouse and it allowed me to eventually meet my wife.

so, pray for comfort but always keep in mind that things happen for a reason and God will show you the way…even if you don’t understand it right now…

Some days it really feels as if though the Lord is not with you, You feel as though you are really suppose to be with your girl friend. But its as these times that we have actually let go of christ and he is holding onto us.

Many times in our lives we let go of christ choose not to listen to his word, and or just choose to do what we want. an this is times when he picks us up and carries us himself

So I ask you This question. Would you wait a while so that you could spen the rest of your life with her? Because if its meant to be she will come back around and she will have to realize that you and her were meant to be.

Secondly, I ask you is she the one who is to take you back to the father, Is she the one God put in your life for you, If so she will also come back, no doubt.

I am going to pray for God to grant you the strength to get through this, the wisdom to see the true outcomes, and that you may be gratned the Love of your mother.

All this I pray

first of all im sorry to hear about your girlfriend… the other thing is, good for you on praying that God will guide her back into your life… I’m sure it will help, and if its Gods will that you two were meant for each other she will come back…and remember love is patient, so hang in there and I will be praying for you and your girlfriend…you sound like you have a good head on your shoulders…God bless you, and all the best.:gopray:
 
Thanks for the advice and prayers. I am very grateful. And yes as of right now I do feel like this is the girl I want to spend the rest of my life with.

I’m afraid she isn’t. That was a problem for her when we first started to date but eventually it seemed like she got over the idea of me being catholic.

This a big part of who you are, it’s not something you want her to just get over. Give it time. If it is meant to be God will make it happen. Maybe she’s just scared. I don’t know. It is never an easy thing to go through, but I think praying about it the right thing to do. Peace be with you!
 
May Jesus help you in your distress. May God’s will and love be fulfilled in your life and that of your former girlfriend. She is blessed to have you to pray for her.
 
Lord I place mickyddp and his girlfriend in your hands. Lord lead THEM BOTH TO YOUR HEART, MIND AND WAYS AND BRING THEM CLOSE TO YOU IN ALL THINGS. Lord lead this girlfriend to bring you glory. Thank you to all of you who have prayed for me. Nothing is new as of yet but I continue to pray, hope and trust in God. I trust that God will bring my love back to me.
