Ok so my girlfriend is an Episcopalian and would like to convert to being a Roman Catholic. How would she go about doing this and how long does the process take?
Thank You all in advance for help in answering this for me God bless.

It would be best to take her to see a priest. I imagine that she would have to go to RCIA.

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is the process by which adults are initiated into the Catholic Church. The RCIA process is conducted by a team of lay church members and clergy over a nine-month period which begins each September and continues through Easter.

She should contact the local Catholic parish nearest her and ask about RCIA. She will be directed to a contact person who can give her information.

How long it takes depends upon many factors. So it is best she discuss this with the priest or RCIA director.

The normal requirement is to participate in the REQUIRED RCIA classes :Rites of Christian Initiation "…

Each Bishop determines the length of the instriction but it is common from August to Easter Sunday;meeting once per week.

The rites include learing the basics of our Catholic Faith and include Baptism [if not already a Christian?], Eucharist, Confession and Confirmation. Because we are so close to Easter {Ash Wed. in this week], she likely will be asked to wait until the next class forms? BUT don’t take my word for it; call your local pastor and ask.🙂

I’ll send toy a private messagw with some additional information…

God Bless,
Pat
