i have a question to anybody looking to help.

My girlfriend is a member of the Wesleyan Church. she has recently gone to england to a bible school where she is learning about the Bible in a non denominational view. unfortunately while gone my girlfriend has changed her views on our relationship. she has come to find that her love for me needs to be less and that her love for God must exceed everything. to put it short she has told me that nothing material matters to her and that she regrets a lot of our relationship. my question is how do i go about talking to her about fixing our relationship when she is so consumed by Christianity that it almost seems as though she is brain washed?

What does she regret about your relationship?

(1) God should be your number one priority too.

(2) If the things she regrets are sexual in nature, she is correct that these offend God and must be discontinued.

(3) A relationship between two people who do not share the same faith and beliefs is dangerous spiritually.

(4) Your relationship doesn’t need “fixing” but your attitude towards it does. You want things to go back to the way they were. They cannot. She has grown spiritually. Perhaps outgrown you or found a different calling or direction in her life. What I suggest you do is examine your own relationship with God and grown in your own relationship with Him.

Yes, if those things she regrets were sexual, then you should regret them too. And yes, God should be #1 in everybody’s lives. I don’t understand what you mean by “consumed by Christianity”. The Catholic Church - and you say you’re Catholic - is the one in which the Church founded by Our Lond subsists.

Your partner is supposed to lead you to heaven not away from it. God should always be the # 1 priority. He makes us all his #1 priority. 👍
