I feel VERY helpless and depressed. I have these thoughts and many doubts that i’m never going to meet a girl who loves me for who I am. In my past relationship i lost my virginitiy to her and i knew it was a huge mistake and i’ve repented and vowed to stay chaste until marriage. It’s near impossible to find a girl whom you’re attracted to and has somewhat of the same morals and values as me. I read a lot on here and there as so many good people on this forum and i wish it was that easy to find a woman out there like this. I’m very lonely i don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. All i want is to find a woman whom i can marry and not be pressured to do anything wrong or sinful. If anyone has any insight or information to help me out here i’d greatly appreciate it.

Have you checked out the Catholic and Christian singles websites? Pretty sure there are some women who share your sentiments.

I can relate. 😦 It’s hard finding anyone with morals, it takes time. We only have to wait but it’s a hellish wait. Like now, i’m faced with a situation of either going with someone who doesn’t have God in his life or remain alone. I can tell you that choosing loneliness is very hard. Yes most of the people nowadays destroy relationships by doing sinful things, and if we settle for that, we’re giving up on all our fights we won by God’s grace.

I would ask you to trust God, and pray unceasingly to overcome the desperation… Write, do some sports, enjoy your hobbies, learn new things, and forget finding someone. Let go and let God.

I can truthfully say that you will at the appointed time know which road God wants you to take. Just pray, read the Bible, and improve your relationship with Jesus. Strive for being a better person while waiting.

🙂

When I was in college, I saw all these people in relationships and I thought, “why not me?” When I got my first job and was living alone in the city I thought, “why not me?” I signed up on various popular (but secular) dating websites and never quite made any connections because woman were scared off whenever I asked about their faith since it’s important to me. It seemed like I was so busy and never in situations where I could meet a woman who shared my faith and values. It really seemed like there was no light at the end of the tunnel.

I signed up for Catholic Singles and within a week I was talking with a woman who shared my faith and values. She’s now my wife. It seemed like things went from hopeless to happy in an instant. So don’t worry and keep praying. God has already provided the right path for you. You just need the faith to follow it.

How old r u? i advice not to be in a rush no matter your age, my cousin is 35 and she is still not married she tells me she is not in a rush, she says that her time is coming that she wont be able to have kids but she will adopt. I really tip my hat to her for being strong.
i myself am searching for a woman, i am 27 and like you i committed the same mistake of having sex and losing my virginity. i regret every day of it because it brought to nothing good. i rememeb

your right, first pray for it, it never hurts, maybe God is calling you to be a priest. who knows, just pray, God will tell you what he desires.

The biggest thing is to have faith. We know that God won’t give us a scorpion when we ask for an egg…I just like to think, myself, that my egg isn’t fully cooked yet!

It seems trite to say, but it’s totally true: Pray, look around for the joys you have in life right now, be thankful for them, and be patient. I’ve tried just about everything, including Catholic dating sites, and no luck with that, so I know that God will take this desire for marriage in my heart and do the best possible thing that there is to do with it.

Catholic Singles (catholicsingles.com/) is the real deal. I met my wife on it and my sister met her husband on it. Yeah, this may be anecdotal evidence from a few people, but it changed my life for the best!

I heard of this guy who complained to his parish priest that there weren’t any nice Catholic girls around. It just so happened that recently a girl had complained to the same priest that there weren’t any nice Catholic guys around.

The priest introduced them to each other.

They became my great-grandparents.

Both my parents and my husband’s parents met at church.

I met my husband by phoning the diocese and asking what was available for Catholic singles in my area. The diocese put me in contact with a Catholic Singles Club. If there isn’t one in your area, start one.

My advice (on top of all the good advice you’ve already gotten here) is to get involved in your parish. Find out what kind of activities your church sponsors, whether it’s a soup kitchen or a planning committee. The more people in your parish that you get to know, the more likely it is that you’ll meet her–or at least meet someone who knows a girl looking for a guy like you.

😦 it could be better but i think Catholic dating for free is also good, if your honest and you pray who knows, you dont have to judge people right away, its not right to do so.

if God Wants you to marry someones beautiful Daughter He will Tell You.

you just have to keep on talking about it to him in Adoration chapel and if: you can: find a Boss Priest you admire to talk to about yourself.

God is always there for you and many people love you very much.

hope this helps
Shalom
God Bless

You may well find that there are women who are happy not to be pressured to have sex - there’s a cultural expectation that many men are out to have sex with no strings attached, and it seems that a lot of women have stepped up to the plate, so to speak, to meet men on this culturally-reinforced ground. If you are willing to meet some women on the grounds of seeking a genuine friendship, perhaps, given the right circumstances, leading towards intimate sexual relations, even marriage, that seems like it should be a feather in your cap. At the same time, though, you should really think about not putting too much pressure on yourself - it’s no failure to remain single if you’ve never met the right person!
