This was a point that I was trying to make in another thread about this topic. The complaint goes to the bishop. The judgment of the local bishop is what usually prevails in the diocese. You can appeal to Rome and in ten years get an answer.

The thing is----we need to start appealing to Rome. If we don’t—there will never be an answer. There is one poster here (can’t remember who) that sent some sort of video data to the Vatican—they sure indeed received an answer—and a correction to his parish.

Some abuses are so wide-spread that if every case of such abuses were reported to the Vatican it’d be a 24/7 job to directly answer them, which is why, as I stated above, the Holy Father IS taking the initiative to put an end to the common abuses we all ought to deplore.

I agree—many abuses are wide spread—but it is up to us—who are down here in the trenches–to take up our Cross and start doing everything we can to rid our Mass of such abuses. This includes contacting Rome–if need be.

The reason these abuses have become so widespread is because we have let them grow and thrive. We did not know that we could take the initiative and help the Church rid Herself of what harms our Lord.
