Hi folks,
Well its now Aug 2014, and i have been struggling all year, life just sucks now. I have lost my will to go on, will to live, just going through the motions until its my time to go, up or down it doesnt matter anymore, my hand or gods will, i too doesnt matter. You know what i mean. I sick and tires, fed up, with the constant kicking while you are down.
People will say what about your famialy, well they will get over it and move on, people all do! I pray and pray and pray, novenas, morning prayer, evening prayer, pray to saints, all goes on deaf years. Bills just keep comming, money to pay them is no where to be found. The demands of life is too much for me to handle anymore.

All i ask for is just a little blessing to get me on my feet but to be honest its just a flat out NO! Its like you ask your father ( when your a kid ) dad, may i have candy, he says NO in a stern voice.

I ask ! Lord, help me , all these troubles hurt a lot of people not just me, if you want to punish me, punish me alone and not involve my famialy. I cannot provide for them anymore, i give up!

please pray for my soul, my life, my after life, my daily life. A little blessing.

Life is a gift, i would give my life to a sick child so they may live than me.

Your post touched my heart, so I humbly decided to answer. I know how you are feeling–and I really mean that. The last 2 years have been so rotten for me that I too have considered ending it all and other times just prayed that God would just take me–a car wreck, cancer, His choice, as long as I could just go home–really home. So far neither has happened. I know others here are going to suggest you see a psychiatrist and that is a good idea. I am on an antidepressant now and while it hasn’t cured me, it at least keeps me from seriously considering putting my head in an oven. However, the one thing that has made a real difference was prayer–and I mean real prayer:saying a Rosary every day–even when I don’t feel like it which used to be always. I also now say part of the Breviary–the morning and evening parts. Lastly, pain is pain. If you were suffering physically, it would occur to you to offer it up. Remember Jesus’ agony in the garden? I personally believe that in some ways that His mental agony–all alone in that garden, may have been more of a suffering than even what he physically endured which was, of course, horrendous. You’re suffering inside. Offer it up and as you do, ask God for that peace that only He can give. And I will remember you in my prayers too. Remember that an unpaid bill, job troubles, kid problems all of this stuff is just that: STUFF. What really IS important is being able to face God one day without having to try to explain to Him why you took the easy way out and ended your life over something as un-important as a bill or a family problem. God bless and love you.

I was once where you are now,I fell to the ground in a sobbing mess,
I was like a dropped steak pie,I was a disasters mess, I had lost all hope,
I prayed ,but it just didn’t help…until I was at my lowest of low points,
I began to sing the Lord’s Prayer, as a child would,I had to make a couple of lifestyle changes, attitude changes about myself and where I was in my life,I had no support,
I was virtually by myself, even though I had people around, but no one could see or cared, try singing the Lord’s Prayer,it just might work for you, while you sing it,hand your soul and life to The Lord, you might even have a cry, but it might help…
It worked for me,
Go in peace and serve The Lord,

Praying that the Lord may mercifully grant you hope and enable you to find a way to meet all your needs.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen

I feel the same way you do every day.

The only reason I have not “done anything” is because so far I’ve been too much of a coward to go through with it. 😦

I feel for you I really do.
I’ve had a difficult year myself with temptations to commit suicide, but I don’t think I’ve felt as bad as you obviously do.
I wouldn’t commit suicide in the end of the day because Im to afraid of eternal hellfire over it.

Seek the Blessed Virgin for comfort, it has helped me a lot.
When I’ve forgotten to pray to her my difficulties has gotten worse and when I’ve crawled back to her my life has improved so she is always eager to help her children.

I try to see my situation as a purifying process that God wants me to go through in order to be humble enough for his upcoming tasks for me (what that is I don’t know at this point).
I think that way of thinking helps me a lot. You know trying to find meaning in a otherwise hopeless situation.

Also my advise is to let your pastor in on your current situation as it often helps to share your situation with others. To have him on your call list if your situation become unbearable.

You are in my prayers dear pray4unme.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee,
Blessed art thou amongst women,
And Blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners, now
And at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Honestly, we all go through this at some time in our lives. It is during these times that our Faith is truly tested, not the good times. Still it is hard, so of course you will have our prayers. Sometimes a massive amount of difficulties can be the start of your own “Dark Night of the Soul.”

Seek counsel from your Confessor and take one day at a time.

Hail Mary,

Holy Mary,

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Praying for you so that you may find solace and peace and the material means to provide for your loved ones. God bless you and all those who are suffering in this manner!!!

If you feel this way and you love God, my friend this is a fantastic sign!

It means that you know that this world will never satisfy you with all its life’s troubles. You know that only when you are with God you will be happy.

The best way forward my friend is don’t spend money on anything that is not absolutely necessary for your life. Save everything you can and pay off your debts and find a cheaper place to live or a higher salary or better yet both. Get more sleep, you are tired.

Then take care of your health.

But never stop loving God.
After a long life of troubles my friend, one day will come that you will meet God.
Just accept a life of troubles while you life a life to extract yourself from troubles and look forward to meeting God. Simplify your religious life, just say a single real prayer every day and go to Sunday mass with your heart given to God. Try not to sin and go to confession if you do. Forget about much more then that, god loves you anyway.

Please don’t give up!! please pray, pray and pray…look carefully at the words or wisdom from all those who posted and responded to you. Cry , punch a wall…don’t keep it in and let it out…yell if you have to! May GOD heal you the way we all know he will…GOD bless you!!

I tried posting something this morning but it didn’t take so I’m trying again.

At different times, we have all felt in the dark, lost, without hope, alone, desperate, and forgotten. I am a simple person and here’s what I believe.

To me, these feelings are a temptation from satan to try and separate us from God. He’s doing everything he can to drag you to despair so you will give up. See it for what it is and you’ll know what to do. When we run into feelings like this, we do not have the strength alone to break loose. We must ask God for help. In the bible, satan tried to temp Jesus. Jesus defeated him by quoting scripture. I stop everything, have a very real conversation with Him, and I say the Lord’s Prayer. Not rattling it off as a memorized piece. Clear your mind and say it, slowly, listening to each word as if it’s the first time you’ve ever said it.

Talk to God honestly and openly. Tell Him you cannot break thru this, you need His help. Honestly ask him to step in and clear these things from your mind, let you find Him.

I’ve been driving down the road, with stuff whirling around in my mind, loosing hope, can’t see past stuff like this. That’s how it works—the bad guy tries to drive a wedge in between you and God, filling you with hopelessness. Like I said earlier, I’m a pretty simple person. I pulled the car over, parked in a parking lot, turned the car off, and just shouted out for help. God, help me. I can’t get this off of me, I can’t see You and I can’t find You! I am not strong enough to break through this, please reach down and grab me. I know who is doing this to me and I will not let him pull me from You! And I’ll say the Lord’s Prayer. I’ve been at home, fears sneak up on you and start whirling around in your mind. Same thing, see it for what it is, stop everything, and talk to your Father. Honestly, openly. Don’t do a to-do list (I need this, and that, and you need to do this, etc.). He’s God. He already knows everything. I say this because I’ve caught myself praying—if you’ll just do this…then I start laughing—ok, now who do I think I am to give God a to-do list AND tell him how to fix this?! that’s when I know I’m not really talking to him, just rattling off what I want instead of asking Him to help me. When it gets dark, I believe it’s time to humble yourself before God, give up control and hand it to Him. When He’s not driving, we take wrong turns, we go off the road, and we get lost. Tell Him the truth about your fears, what’s running through your mind, what is scaring you, what is making you feel alone. Talk to him openly as if you are talking to the best friend you’ve had all your life. Don’t be embarrassed or scared to say what is running through your mind—He already knows every thought, every feeling, and every secret.

Honestly and humbly, reach out to Him and talk to Him as your Father. Tell Him you are scared, tell Him you are lost, tell Him you can’t find Him and are desperately trying to reach through this darkness to find Him. Grab onto Him and don’t let go!

Please know that if you were the only person on the Earth, that God would have sent His son here for you. For you. That’s how important you are to Him. That’s how much He loves YOU. Never forget that. Lean on that when you feel weak. His love for you is the most powerful thing in the world. Know without any doubt that you are a child of God.

We love you, pray4unme. We love you, Lost_Sheep. May you reach out to God and feel His arms wrap around you, feel His love, His warmth, His strength, and His beauty. May you feel the pressures ease and the weight on your shoulders lighten. Know that He is with you always.

Pain and suffering are difficult and still a mistery to us. But what might help is go to a place where there is a crucifix and ask Jesus why he allowed himself to go through the agony, scourging, condemned by the same people he came to dye for, crowned with thorns, and crucyfied. Jesus never taught that suffering was good what he did was give us a way to live it that brings good about it. Also ask our blessed mother how she was able to walk with Jesus through the passion and allow her heart to be pierced at the foot of the cross.
(Mat28;20) I will be with you till the end of ages…
(John14;27) peace I leave with you; my peace I leave with you
Open your heart to the extent that you can and give yourself to our lord through Maryand they will guide you through your problems. Say to our lord I SURRENDER ALL THAT I AM TO YOUR SACRED HEART THROUGH THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY PLEASE HELP ME.
May the love of the sacred heart of Jesus and the immaculate heart of Mary be with you and may the Holyspirit lead you to the truth and may St Michael protect you.

Dear pray4unme:

My life is a day-to-day struggle with chronic depression and physical pain. Although I often feel hopeless, I try (for my spiritual welfare) to unite my suffering to the suffering of Christ. It’s not easy. It’s not magic. But, for me, it helps suffering make sense. For years, I’ve been isolated spiritually. I’ve only recently started with a prayer life. This new involvement has helped me.

I’m not sure my path is like your path. But I urge you not to give up. I’ve been so close to giving up myself. But try to put your trust in Jesus. He bore all our pain and he knows exactly what you are feeling right now.

Stay in touch with this prayer community. There’s always someone here who will pray for you.

Try this prayer, for now. See if it helps. God be with you.

In Time of Need

Heavenly Father, in my present need, help me to believe that you are aware of my anxiety and will do what is best for me. Give me the strength to trust You and put the present and future in Your Hands. Grant this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
