a) Just a quick question: If somebody comes up to you in the street asking you for money, do you always give? Because it says in the Bible to give to whoever asks from you?
I usually give at least a little bit if somebody asks me explicitely, even though I live on a very very minimal budget myself.
Or I try to maybe buy them a muffin or something, if it’s obvious the money would probably go for drugs.
b) Oh, and a related question, since I am already talking about money: This is about tithing. I don’t think a lot of people actually give a tenth of what they make?
I remember a time when I tried to live on ten dollars a week (yup) and I tried to make sure to give one dollar to church.
And sometimes when somebody gives me a big tip (I am a street musician), that is, a big bill, I try to share a tenth of it with somebody else.
Otherwise it is really difficult, since a great part of the year I have only been doing volunteer work.
