I stand by what I said, you need to support to the Church itself, not just charitable organizations associated with the Church. IF you parish is misusing the funds, you can divert that obligation to the diocese or Rome. But the canon is clear, you are obliged to give to the the Church.

I would add, having been very involved in parish finances in the past, that very few parishioners would know for sure their money is being mispent. And those who complain the loudest, often have the least understanding. So be sure you are correct, before you stop supporting your parish.
I’ve never had any reason not to support my parish, nor would i advise anyone not to without serious reason with the added support of someone in authority.
i likewise did not say anything about organizations associated with the church, i named things directly within the church which are among the things our money goes to.

i know you have to support the church itself and that is what i was referring to, i apologize if i explained it poorly, but i’ve merely pointed out that if the situation is serious enough(money going towards something evil) then it should be addressed, and you can very well go to another catholic parish and support the priest there instead,
but all in all, the church does not say that your money has to go to a parish without exception and if you can only give so much money it must be given to your priest and not to any seminarian or religious order…on the contrary, we are aloud to give support to seminarians or religious orders instead and that it is a very good thing to do, because they need our support too…but as it is stated in the CCC, we do and give what we are able.

anyways, i’m not disagreeing with you, and i said nothing about charitable organizations, so that’s all, take care.
