Hi!
I’m not sure if this is the correct area to post but…
My Grandparents had planned on being married in a Catholic Church, but ended up being married by a Justice of the Peace 49 years ago (I’m still not sure what the exact reason was for the elopement- I know that it wasn’t torrid like pregnancy or anything
). My Grandmother still looks back with regret that she did not have a real wedding, so the family would like to arrange to have them renew their vows (for their 50th next year) with all of us there to celebrate!!!
Is if it is ok to do this ceremony in a church since it isn’t a “real” wedding? Also, does it make a difference if it is on a different date than their original vows?
Any information would be greatly appreciated. I just really want my Grandparents to have a real wedding
Thanks!
Danielle
