I want to thank God first of all for my prayers about permanent housing being answered partially. I moved in with a friend from church in her home and it is a long story as to how this came about. I was very clear to my friend that this wasn’t a permanent arrangement (she wouldn’t mind if I stayed permanently). I told her that I would be applying for HUD housing and low income efficiency apartments and get on as many waiting lists as I can til I find a permanent place of my own.
I want to also thank all of the Catholic Answers members that continued to pray for me in my thread on getting permanent housing. As some of you know, my housing situation where I was living was a dangerous environment and I needed desperately to move out but was having a hard time due to my disability benefits income being so little. Its a long story on all that I experienced whilst living there that had my nerves on edge everyday. The final straw for my friend from church was when one of the men that rented a room in the house I was living in (there are 8 rooms in this house) had his gun stolen from his room. That means that someone in the house had the gun and could have used it to rob any one of us in the house or worse.
The story of how I was able to move in with a friend from church and her daughter in their home is long. They opened their house to me out of the kindness and generosity of their hearts. Please pray that all goes well in my new living arrangements. So far we all get along well…thanks be to God.
Again, thanks for the persistent prayers knock knock knocking on heavens doors… May all of you that prayed for me and continue to pray for me be blessed a million times over by Our Lord.
God bless.
