Well, I think it’s about to give up on my classes. It’s beginning to affect my faith. Guess I made the wrong decisions again.

Why make the Thread if you’re not going to expound upon your cryptic post? :man_shrugging:t2:

I’m just frustrated, that’s all. What’s the point?

Well, I could use some help on a Differential Equations problem. I probably don’t know how to describe it, because I have no clue if anyone here knows how to solve it and help me out.

And I’m pretty sure that prayers alone may not be enough to find all the help I need, so yeah.

Basically, pray to help me find solution and remember to write and speak better English, because I’m starting to forget how to talk to people, both online and offline.

Prayers for your school work and for you overall …

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Hail Mary
Full of grace,
The Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou amongst women
And blessed is the fruit of Thy womb,
Jesus
Holy Mary,
Mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of death,
Amen

Or better yet, is anyone here interested in helping me solve the problem? I don’t know if I am confusing Catholicism for Calculus, or whether there’s something called “Catholic Calculus,” but I don’t know. It’s just that my mind is spiraling out of control and I’m kind of losing it.

Does anyone here know anything about Differential Equations? It would be nice if anyone here knew a thing or two.

ooooo. Diff is a hard master. I worked at a college and many a student was ready to throw in the towel.
  1. Call or email your professor. They are often the front line.
  2. Call or email the tutoring service at your college. Many online colleges have online tutoring services.
  3. Put an APB out to your fellow students. Even if you’re online chances are you can use skype or google chat + google draw to work out a problem.
  4. Find a peer to peer online tutorings site.
  5. Reverse engineer the problem by going to Kahn Academy. Find a like problem or topic and then keep doing activities until you figure out exactly what part of the problem you’re having a tough time with.
  6. DON’T extend your hate of one class to all classes. I have yet to meet a college graduate who didn’t have at least one class that made them want to cry/break down/drop out. It’s part of college and why most employers value a degree just for having a degree.

Sorry, don’t know anything about calculus … but my prayers are with you.

1: I did contact the teacher, but there wasn’t much I got out of that.

2: There are no tutors that know anything at that level.

3: Nobody wants to help. It’s pretty much every man for himself at this point.

4: Will try that.

5: Maybe.

6: Too late. Planning to jump ship.

On a tutoring site. Please pray that I will be able to find the money to pay for this venture.

Not to be rude, but how exactly did you ask your professor for help? Many students would say that their professors were unhelpful but then when they would email me what they had sent was angry, unintelligble panic and not anything they could get help with.

Try something like,

“On homework problem 5 I’m having trouble with the way to figure out the linear differential equation. I’m not understanding how to divide (XYZ) into (XXY) in order to get (ABC)”

Here’s the Kahn Academy Link:

And finally, perhaps you can find some counseling through your college. It is very important you make good decisions, not ones in the heat of the moment. This extends far past college.

Sorry, I tried, but that wasn’t enough. I couldn’t find anything for “Variation of Parameters.”
