I am under the impression that it is wrong to “Gloat” or rejoice over the bad that happens to an enemy. Where in scriptures and in the teaching of the church is it proscribed? Why would it be a bad thing … aren’t you just agreeing with divine justice?
I tend to agree with the principle, but can’t find the relevent scriptures or teaching.
It we have the natural power to ‘judge’ or discriminate who might be an enemy, then wouldn’t we also have the natural right to rejoice when something bad happens to them?
Rejoicing in the Lord and His mercy,
I was a born and bred, “dyed in the wool” anti-catholic 'til God called me home to His Church. Not happy was I.
